Australia won 2015 world cup after defeating New Zealand in the finals.Newsland had upper hand on Austrailiajs as they had won all matches and had defeated them in group stages.Australia had home ground advantage.But the world cup finals was a 1 sided match and New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first but it was a poor batting performance from New Zealand .Only Grant Elliot scored 83 and team only put up 183 total.Australia was at their best .They chased down the total of 183 in 32 overs and registered their 5th world cup win.Michael Clark retired after the world cup win.It was a great farewell for the Austrailian captain.
